"The Library of Lost Books" by Nileena Sunil
The Library of Lost Books
By: Nileena Sunil
I paced across the Library of Lost Books, trying not to get distracted. The lost treasures of the Library of Alexandria caught my eye, as did a copy of Cardenio, Shakespeare’s lost play. I walked past lost works from the Library of Nalanda, and texts from Baghdad the Mongols threw into the Tigris. I then made my way to the contemporary section and found a copy of the manuscript I’d thrown into the trash so many years ago. The work, which I once judged too harshly, might end up being the inspiration I desperately needed to overcome my writer’s block.
