Bad Advertising
By: L. Alvarenga
A ballad about a magnificent coffee reached the ears of the King, a connoisseur of fine drinks:
Roasted by dragon flames
Crushed by satyr teeth
Blessed by holy water
“I came to try your renowned coffee,” the King announced.
“My King, you need to know—” the owner of the establishment that inspired the ballad tried to warn.
“Serve me. That’s an order!”
The drink was served and the King, after a sip, exclaimed outraged: “It’s just ordinary coffee!”
“Your Majesty, it’s that damned bard’s fault! Never hire one to advertise for you. All he brought me were dissatisfied customers!”
