Finding Home
By: Cameron Phillips
The potion was supposed to make her forget. They returned her to her world, left her to slip back into her old life from before she knew anything else.
Each morning, she wakes with her chest aching, feeling like she forgot the most wonderful dream. Whenever she smells herbs or old books, sees a sleek black crow or a flickering candle flame, she finds herself at a stone wall. Eventually, she remembers how to make the door appear.
The guards are there to send her home. But if she doesn’t belong here, how does she always find her way back?
