Not your grandpa's yard sale
"A Necessary Yard" by Craig Borri
Happy Holidays!
Is your family holiday gathering a little dull? Are you looking for something to spice it up? We recommend playing Drabble, the original parlor game! It’s sure to be a hoot at your holiday gathering. Have no idea what I’m talking about? Check out this blog post on the strange origin of the drabble.
A Necessary Yard
By: Craig Borri
I was doing about thirty when she ran in front of my car. It was a little girl, about five years old. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and a little paisley jumpsuit. I slammed on the brakes, but I knew it was futile.
The tires squealed. Her eyes locked on mine. Terror filled them. She saw her death coming. I could see she knew it.
So, I used my yard. Suddenly, she was three feet from where she’d been. I missed her by inches. I looked back and saw her gaping at me.
Good thing I went to that yard sale.
